April 9, 2005 ~ Against the Texas Revolution

The ATLANTA XPLOSION received a forfeit win Saturday night against the Texas Revolution, which brings the XPLOSION to the top of the Southern Central Division with a (2-0) record. This week, the XPLOSION face another “HOME” game against one of the toughest teams in the league, Chicago. Chicago has made it to the playoffs two consecutive years in a row, falling short to the New York Sharks and also sitting (2-0) in their division.

“This game should be fun to watch,” says XPLOSION head coach Phil Beniamino. “We have a lot of respect for what Chicago has done in the past years and were looking forward to the challenge”.

The XPLOSION plays Chicago at 7:00 pm. This Saturday night, 4/16/2005, at Campbell High School. Deuce McAlister of the New Orleans Saints will be there to sign autographs at halftime. 800 fans came out to watch the XPLOSION home opener win against the Jacksonville Dixie Blues 41-16, and Anthony Mitchell of the Cincinnati Bengals was on hand to sign autographs and meet the crowd. Tickets for this Saturday’s game can be purchased by calling our ticket office at 678-592-1217, or they may be purchased at the gate for $15. Children under 5 will get in free.
