Atlanta Xplosion Back on its Home Field!!!
After over a week of negotiations, Campbell High School was able
to push back part of county-initiated renovations, which would
have kept the team off the field. Campbell High School, the
home of the Atlanta Xplosion for the past three seasons, worked
closely with county project managers to strategically have
renovations take place; however, not at the expense of having
the team relocate its last regular season home game. The Atlanta
Xplosion have never loss a game at Campbell High, and were very
upset about the possibility of having a venue change at this
point in the season. The Xplosion are now 7-0 and host the
undefeated Detroit Demolition for a chance to lock down the #1
spot, and have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
"We are very excited to be back at Campbell. We feel that
this is our home and it would have been a huge disappointment
to our fans for us to relocate. Our girls love this campus,
but most importantly the support that we receive from our
fans in this community. This is a win-win situation for
both our team and this school," stated Atlanta Xplosion
owner Takela Corbitt. "More importantly, I would like to
thank our fans for their continued support and for their
patience as we work through unpredictable occurrences."
