IWFL Championship to Be Held In Atlanta, Georgia

Austin TX -The Independent Women's Football League is pleased to announce the 2007 IWFL National Championship game will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on August 11, 2007. The Championship weekend will be hosted by the 2006 IWFL National Champions Atlanta Xplosion.

The 2007 IWFL National Championship Weekend events will be held over three days, August 10, 11, and 12. The weekend will be full of exciting activities.

Friday kicks things off with a “Warm Up Picnic” at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. Enjoy free food, music provided by a local DJ, and a cash bar. On Saturday afternoon come out early to Roswell High School’s Manus Stadium for the 2007 IWFL Sixxes Championship game. Then get set for the big game with an adrenalin filled pre game concert!

The 2007 IWFL National Championship game will kick off at 7PM Saturday evening. Be there to see the IWFL Eastern and Western Conference Champions face off to decide who will earn the right to call themselves the number one team in women’s football…The 2007 IWFL National Champions!

“This could very well be the biggest year women’s tackle football has ever had.

The competition in both the IWFL Eastern and IWFL Western Conferences has never been better. The teams that finish on top will, without a doubt, be the best two women’s football teams in the world,” said Kezia Disney, IWFL Chief Operating Officer, “This is one game people will definitely want to say they were at.”

After the games don’t miss the “Early Party” hosted by Mario’s Pizzaria in Roswell, GA. bring the whole family to meet the players and enjoy the best pizza in Atlanta. When you have had your fill of carbs you’ll be ready to dance the night away with the Champs at the After Game Celebration.

On Sunday the league will host the first annual IWFL Coaches Awards Ceremony and Brunch. The invitation only event was created to recognize the tremendous contribution IWFL coaches make to the sport of women’s football and honor those that have achieved excellence in their field.
